Agenda items
Commissioners are scheduled to consider what to do about recording and broadcasting county meetings. Since the City of Salina severed its relationship with Salina Media Connection for recording and broadcasting of meetings in the commission meeting room (room 107 of the City-County Building) at the end of June, Salina Media Connection no longer has the ability to provide those services for county meetings. On a temporary basis, the city has been recording and broadcasting county meetings at no charge since that time, however, the county commission needs to decided on a long-term solution.
County staff is recommending that the county negotiate an agreement with the city for recording and broadcasting services.
Other items on the county agenda for Tuesday include the following.
●Consider changes to employee policies for holiday pay and personal leave - Marilyn Leamer, human resources director
●Consider a health plan amendment - Leamer
●Hear an economic and workforce presentation - Renee Duxler, director of economic and workforce development for the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce
●Hear County Administrator Phillip Smith-Hanes' weekly update
Commissioners also are scheduled to meet in executive session concerning a non-elected personnel matter.
