JEWELL - A small earthquake struck part of Jewell County early Sunday morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.4 magnitude quake struck at 5 a.m. Sunday west-northwest of Jewell. It was centered just south of I Road between 160th Road and 150th Road.
