SEWARD COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Tuesday in Seward County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Francisco Pascual Vicente, 55, Salina, was was southbound on U.S. 83 just north of County Road 9.
The car rear-ended a 2013 Honda Civic driven by Angelica Chavez, 21, Liberal, who was stopped, waiting for the pilot car.
EMS transported Chavez to Southwest Medical Center. Vicente and a passenger his vehicle were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP. juvenile was present in the vehicle; juvenile record protected data.
