Multiple items stolen from shed at YMCA

Salina police are investigating the theft of multiple items from a storage shed at the Salina Family YMCA.

Sometime between Sept. 22 and Thursday, someone cut a lock off a shed on the YMCA property at 570 YMCA Drive and took the following items, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.

A straight shaft string trimmer valued at $540

Chainsaw/trimmer/shears parts valued at $680

A Stihl 16-inch chainsaw valued at $250

A Stihl Pro Trimmer valued at $330

Miscellaneous other accessories and tools

Total loss was estimated at $1,975, Forrester noted.

Additionally, whoever broke into the shed replaced the cut-off lock with another lock, he added.
