Adopting the 2021 budget, police awards, and a sidewalk café license agreement are among the items on the Salina City Commission agenda for Monday.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Monday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street. A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.
Salina Police Chief Brad Nelson is scheduled to present to three officers Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police Valor Awards for their courageous actions on Aug. 28, 2019.
Items on the city commission agenda include the following.
●Hear the second reading of an ordinance levying special assessments against certain lots and pieces of property to pay the cost of abatement of nuisances.
●Hear the second reading of an ordinance levying special assessments against certain lots and pieces of property to pay the cost of the repair of sidewalks.
●Hear the second reading of an ordinance adopting and appropriating the 2021 annual budget.
●Consider a resolution adopting the position classification and salary schedule for city employees for 2021.
●Consider a resolution adopting the city's 2021 Comprehensive Fee Schedule.
●Consider a resolution authorizing the mayor to execute an amended and restated sidewalk café license agreement with JKSK Corporation authorizing an outdoor sidewalk dining area in Strand Plaza abutting the Barolo Grille Restaurant at 112 South Santa Fe Avenue.
●Review the city's Return to Full Staff Scheduling Transition Plan.
