Rose Ann (Tatum) Baird entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 14, 2021, at 1:05 p.m. She was born on Oct.r 23, 1962, in Concordia, Kansas, to Ray E. Tatum and Naomi Jean (Peterson) Tatum. She graduated from Concordia High School and went on to be a CNA.
Rose lived several places throughout her life, but Concordia was where home was. She loved spending time with family, and the holidays. She will be remembered for loving her family deeply. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Rose is survived by children, Melissa Baird, Hastings, Nebraska, Dorothy and Chris Merkle, Salina, Kansas, and Ray Stringer, Junction City, Kansas; sisters, LaDonna Deleshmit, Belgrade, Missouri, Tressie (Chuck) Robbins, Concordia, Kansas; brothers, Paul (Paula) Tatum, Concordia, Kansas, David “Bo” (Martha) Tatum, Salina, Kansas, and Marty Tatum, Rockford, Illinois; brother-in-law, Ron Joyner, Concordia, Kansas, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Naomi Jean (Peterson) Tatum, her sister, Rae Jean Joyner, husband, George Baird, and brother-in-law, Willie Deleshmit.
Her wishes were to be cremated. She will be put to rest in Belleville Cemetery next to her husband. The family is planning a private service.
