An exhibit depicting miracles from throughout the world is coming to Salina.

Divine Mercy Radio will host the Vatican International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles of the World Oct. 29-31 in the Hall of Bishops at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 118 N. Ninth Street.

The hours for viewing this free exhibit will be from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 29, 1-7 p.m. Oct. 30, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 31.

This exhibit consists of 39, two-foot by five-foot detailed vinyl panels highlighting some of the most powerful Eucharistic Miracles of the World. Each panel tells the story of a Eucharistic miracle and is accompanied by photos and artwork.

The purpose of the exhibit is to increase awareness of the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharistic and to promote Eucharistic adoration, according to information from Divine Mercy Radio. In Salina, there is a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish where someone is adoring Jesus in the Holy Eucharistic and praying 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

An Italian teenager, Blessed Carlo Acutis, who was skilled in art and computers, put together this exhibit. Acutis completed this work in 2005 and died a year later of leukemia at the young age of 15. He was beautified “Blessed” by Pope Francis Oct. 10, 2020, after being credited with curing a Brazilian boy from a rare pancreatic defect that made eating difficult.
