Joe recounts how his journey in local politics began with a surprising twist during a city commission race, where a coin flip determined the outcome of a tied election. Despite losing after a recount, his dedication and commitment to local government remained strong, leading him to attend city commission meetings and eventually win a seat.
His efforts later propelled him to run for county commissioner, where he now serves as chairman.
The conversation touches on water quality concerns at Sundowner West, the challenges of road maintenance, and future projects like the city-county facilities study.
