Corliss J. Ballou, 93, Delphos, died Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Minneapolis. He was born July 2, 1927 in Delphos to Louis and Essie (Bourne) Ballou.
After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in WWII. He and Rosanne Walters were married August 12, 1962 in Junction City. He earned a master’s degree from Kansas State University and he taught Industrial Engineering there for 6.5 years. Corliss also taught for a short time and the Beloit Vo Tech. He was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the Delphos Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
Survivors are his wife, Rosanne; son, Craig; and daughter, Cynthia (Terry) Beall.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation without the family present will be Monday, February 22 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. The family kindly requests no flowers and suggest memorials to the Delphos Lions Club or Delphos Museum and may be left in care of the funeral home.
