UPDATE: The tornado warning for S. Ellsworth County has expired

UPDATE 7:30 p.m. Wednesday: The tornado warning for southern Ellsworth County has expired.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a tornado warning in effect until 7:30 p.m. that includes southern Ellsworth County.

At 6:41 p.m. CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 6 miles southwest of Geneseo, or 8 miles north of Lyons, moving east-southeast at 25 mph.
