A Niles man was stabbed in the leg after an altercation with another man Monday night in central Salina.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that the Jesse Rick, 41, of Niles, told police he was walking in the 600 block of S. Second Street at approximately 10 p.m. Monday when he was approached by a light-skinned Black man on a bicycle.
Rick said the man asked him if he was Jesse Rick, and when he confirmed that he was, the two of them got into a verbal altercation. The man then pulled out a knife and stabbed Rick in the left thigh, Forrester said.
Rick was transported to Salina Regional Health Center, Forrester said.
