UPDATE: Flood watches issued for next few days

UPDATE 2:36 p.m. Monday: The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch in effect from late Monday night through Wednesday morning that includes Dickinson County.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

Rainfall amounts of two to three inches are expected to be common from late tonight through Tuesday night. Locally higher amounts are likely.

A flood watch has been issued for some counties in our area.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a flood watch in effect from late Monday night through Tuesday evening for the following counties in our area.

Marion County

McPherson County

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

Widespread rainfall with amounts ranging from 2 to 4 inches are expected tonight through Tuesday evening. Locally higher amounts are possible.
