The Saline County Commission in its capacity as the county Board of Health is scheduled to meet Friday to consider implementing additional restrictions to combat COVID-19.
The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street. Salina Media Connection is scheduled to telecast the meeting live on Cox Cable Channel 20, as well as on Roku and AppleTV.
The commissioners are scheduled to meet with Jason Tiller, county health officer/health department director, to consider a proposed health order to implement additional restrictions.
On Monday, the county reported 126 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the previous report on Friday. On Wednesday, the county reported an additional 121 confirmed cases. According to the county's Wednesday report, 492 active cases are being monitored by the Saline County Health Department. As of the Wednesday report, 17 Saline County residents had died due to COVID-19.
