Argument within a couple results in a physical disturbance and arrest at a Salina home.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on April 18 at around 10:50 pm, officers were dispatched to a north Salina home for the report of a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, contact was made with a 36-year old female who reported a male acquaintance identified as Matthew Hester (36) allegedly assaulted her.
Both who live at the residence, reportedly got into an argument and Hester struck the victim in the head area, according to SPD.
She then attempted to call 9-1-1, Hester forcibly took her phone, broke it and threw it in a toilet.
Officers arrived and arrested Hester on the scene.
He was booked into the Saline County Jail for the requested charges of Robbery, Domestic Battery, Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Use of a Weapon (officers located brass knuckles in the possession of Hester).
The victim suffered minor injuries and SPD did not confirm if she received medical treatment.
