Posted Sep 04, 2021 12:55 PM

UPDATE 1:02 p.m. Saturday: The flood warning has been allowed to expire.

. . .

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a flood warning in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Northeastern McPherson County

Northern Marion County

At 6:54 a.m. CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t drown.
