An investigation is ongoing to find a suspect who reportedly stole a bike from a business after hours.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Friday just after 8:00 am, officers were dispatched to BikeTek (660 S. Ohio) for the report of a burglary.
Reportedly, employees stated they found a window that was broken by a rock upon arrival.
Stolen was a black Trek Check-Out bike valued at $5,800.
Employees believe the burglary took place sometime between midnight and 8:00 am on Friday.
Cost of damage to the window was approximately $2,000.
Moreover, officers were contacted by Mowery clinic and reported that someone attempted to break into the building during the overnight hours. A rock was thrown at a window, but entry was not made.
The broken window was valued at $1,700.
Surveillance video in the area captured an individual riding a bike when the crime occurred.
SPD could not make a description of the suspect.
However, the stolen bike was recovered that following day and SPD stated the bike was chained up to a post.
