Police: Missouri man arrested for bomb threat at Salina business

Law enforcement arrested a Missouri man for making a bomb threat at a business. 

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Thursday at around 4:00 pm, dispatch received a call from a Brandon Skaggs (33) of DeSoto, MO who reported a bomb was placed at the Blue Beacon Truck Wash, (2303 N. 9th).

The business was then contacted and alerted about the threat by SPD.

Reportedly, employees were advised there had been a suspicious male who entered the business and made a comment about terrorism.

According to SPD, that male was identified as Skaggs.

SPD stated Skaggs entered the pump room of the business and turned off the pump breakers, before fleeing the business in a vehicle.

The business was evacuated, searched and no bomb-like devices were found.

Moreover, a Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper located Skaggs' vehicle heading eastbound on I-70 near milepost 287 and took him into custody.

Skaggs was then transported back to Salina where he was booked into the Saline County Jail in reference Criminal Threat and Trespassing.
