Former Kansas Supreme Court justices Lawton Nuss and Carol Beier are scheduled to be the guest panelists for the Salina League of Women Voters' upcoming Fall Issues Forum.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 20 in Courtyard by Mariott, 3020 Riffel Drive, and is open to the public.

The discussion will focus on the role of courts, specifically the Kansas Supreme Court, and how voters can learn about the judges before voting, according to information from the League of Women Voters.

Additionally, the two proposed constitutional amendments on the Nov. 8 general election ballot are scheduled to be reviewed during the forum, the League of Women Voters noted.

Constitutional amendments for administrative rules and regulations and sheriff elections will be on the ballot, according to the Kansas Secretary of State's website.
