Police are investigating two window damage incidents that occurred late last week in downtown Salina.

Sometime between 4 p.m. Thursday and 7:45 a.m. Friday, someone damaged a window on an overhead shop door at Downtown Auto, 119 South Eighth Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.

The window appeared to have been hit with a piece of concrete curbing, was partially removed and found in the grass, he explained. Damage was estimated at $200, Forrester added.

A block to the east, a three-foot by eight-foot window at the AT&T building, 137 South Seventh Street, was damaged sometime between midnight and 9:20 a.m. Friday, he reported.

The window had a single hole in the glass, was shattered, and about to fall out of the frame, Forrester noted. The cause of the damage is unknown, he added. The window was valued at $1,200, Forrester reported.
