SALINE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Wednesday in Saline County.

According to Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander, a 2018 Freightliner Semi driven by a 72-year-old Salina man was northbound on Burma Road approaching Water Well Road. A 2024 Ford F350 pulling a large dump trailer and driven by a 44-year-old Topeka man was westbound  Water Well Road. The Ford driver did not stop for the posted stop sign at Burma Road. The semi struck the driver side of the Ford.

EMS transported the 44-year-old driver to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The 72-year-old driver was not injured.  The 44-year-old driver was also cited for running a stop sign and not having a valid driver’s license, according to Melander.
