On May 3rd, 2023 Officer Cory Chambers was awarded the Bronze Medal for Valor at the 44th Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police Valor Award banquet. Officer Chambers was one of 67 officers from the state to receive an award. The award was given for Officer Chambers’ actions in pulling a suicidal subject from the Iron Ave. bridge with the help of Kansas Highway Patrol Technical Trooper Barta in July 2022. Congratulations Officer Chambers!
