Coyote Track and Field with strong performances at KT Woodman

WICHITA - Kansas Wesleyan Women's Track and Field continued its season this weekend at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State University and Cessna Stadium.

Women’s Results

Competing against some top NCAA Division I, Division II, NAIA and junior college athletes, the Coyotes had some outstanding performances.

In the javelin, Maddy Wolf set a new personal best with a mark of 44.04m finishing fourth. Mayce Russell was fifth with a mark of 42.39m. Aunisty McNeal was 23rd with a mark of 34.07m.

In the 10000m Charlee Lind finished ninth in 40:22.36 and Alayna Behrman was 10th in 41:01.18.

The 4x100m relay team of Markyla Shaw, Julie Rottinghaus, Lauryn Mikkelson and Brionna Floyd finished 11th with a time of 50.36 seconds.

In the 800m, Hailey Nordhus led the Coyote finishers with a personal best time of 2:18.58 and a 16th place finish. Madisyn Ehrlich was 28th in 2:25.18, Joni Schroeder was 34th in 2:27.03, Shelby Lingle was 39th in 2:29.42, Emma McAlister was 40th in a personal best time of 2:29.53 and Ava Kenyon was 56th in a personal best time of 2:33.56.

Josie Koppes ran a personal best time of 4:46.40 in the 1500m finishing 17th and Makayla Little was 70th with a time of 5:22.15.

Allyson Taylor was 22nd in the Steeplechase with a time of 13:05.44.

Elizabeth Stout was 25th in the shot put with a mark of 11.11m.

Lauryn Mikkelson finished 27th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:11.81.

In the 400m, Brionna Floyd finished 28th with a time of 62.26 seconds.

Elizabeth Stout was 28th in the hammer throw with a mark of 37.41m.

Chloe Grusing was 29th in the discus with a mark of 34.76m.

In the 5000m, Kierra Jensen was 32nd with a time of 18:56.09, Micah Dickens was 36th with a time of 19:20.51 and Mya Schweitzer was 40th with a time of 19:59.06.

Markyla Shaw set a new personal best in the 100m with a time of 12.73 seconds, finishing 41st and Julie Rottinghaus finished 47th with a time of 12.89 seconds.

In the 200m, Brionna Floyd finished 47th with a time of 26.27 seconds, Julie Rottinghaus finished 48th with a new personal best time of 26.36 seconds and Markyla Shaw was 59th in a new personal best time of 27.06 seconds.

Men’s Results

Kansas Wesleyan Men's Track and Field had more strong performances this weekend at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State University and Cessna Stadium.

Competing against some top NCAA Division I, Division II, NAIA and junior college athletes, the Coyotes had some outstanding performances including several top 10 finishes and an event win.

In the shot put, Keegan Lott finished seventh with a mark of 15.30m and Dylan Worrell was 25th with a mark of 13.22m.

Damion Jackson set a new school record by over a minute with a time of 31:19.14, finishing eighth. Austin Hess was 12th with a new personal best of 31:42.81, Tytus Reed was 29th in 32:44.31, Cisco Alvarez was 37th in 33:26.17, Landon Steeger was 45th in 34:08.73 and Brodie Bradshaw was 48th in 36:28.05.

Wyatt Johnson led the finishers in the 800m with a time of 3:53.80 finishing in eighth. Julian Avila was 17th in 3:57.68, Tim Parish was 75th in 4:24.93, and Jack Horacek was 79th in 4:27.57.

The 4x400m relay team of Ruben Rivera-Agosto, Andrew Smith, Kean Dinkel and Trevor Peal finished eighth with a time of 3:28.17.

Keegan Lott finished 10th in the discus with a mark of 47.22m, and Keyon Baccus finished 17th with a mark of 45.11m.

The 4x100m relay team of Tyler Fontenot, Andrew Smith, Cayden Purcell and Kean Dinkel was 13th with a time of 43.30.

Keegan Lott finished 14th in the javelin with a mark of 57.12m, setting a new personal best.

Giovanni Rios set a new personal best in the Steeplechase with a 16th place finish and a time of 9:43.33. Ian Doss was 24th in 10:00.85.

Tristan Howard set a new personal best in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.80 seconds, finishing 22nd.

In the 800m, Ty Davidson led the way with a 28th place finish with a time of 1:55.79, Triston Cottone was 31st in 1:56.58, Brenden Ellis was 37th in 1:57.70, Nicolas Martnez was 43rd with a 1:58.48, Nate Chavez was 75th in 2:02.86 and Will Childers was 109th in 2:13.40.

In the 400m hurdles, Brennon Allen finished 29th with a time of 60.47 seconds, Riley Garcia was 38th in 65.53, and Cayden Purcell was 39th in 65.71.

In the 100m, Lorenzo Vaccari led the Coyote finishers in 33rd, running a personal best time of 10.67 seconds. Tyler Fontenot was 56th in 10.93, Kean Dinkel was 62nd in 10.97, Darrias Pearsall was 91st in 11.26 and Kole Alexander was 121st in 12.29.

In the 5000m, Evan Pearce led the KWU finishers in 38th with a time of 15:33.81 and Austin Schaeffer was 40th in 15:36.59.

Tyler Fontenot led the 200m finishers in 49th with a time of 22.25 seconds. Lorenzo Vaccari was 65th in 22.71, Kean Dinkel was 73rd in 22.80, Andrew Smith was 76th in 22.86, Sidney Washington was 98th in 23.18, Ruben Rivera-Agosto was 103rd in 23.28, Trevor Peal was 105th in 23.39, Darrias Pearsall was 117th in 23.69 and Kole Alexander was 137th in 25.43. There were eight personal bests set in the race.

Sidney Washington set a new personal best with a 53.34 second mark in the 400m, finishing 54th.

The Coyotes return to action this weekend, hosting the Coyote Classic on Friday and Saturday at Olson Family Track at JRI Hospitality Stadium.
