While this week may be hot and dry, the temperature outlook for Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, suggests temperatures could fall below normal.
The chances of that happening is higher over the northern part of the state and lower across the south, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita. For the southeast quarter of Kansas, the average lows for next week are in the lower 60s and average highs are in the mid 80s, NWS added.
