2 hospitalized after 2-vehicle Ellsworth Co. crash

ELLSWORTH COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Friday in Ellsworth County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Dalton Q. Hoffman, 19, Kanopolis, was northeast bound on Kansas Highway 156 at Kansas 14.

The Ford struck the passenger side of a southbound 2019 Kia Stinger driven by  Heather Renae Cave, 47, Newton, who had stopped at the stop sign at the Kansas Highway 14 and Kansas Highway 156 junction, before proceeding through the intersection.

EMS transported Hoffman and Cave to the hospital in Ellsworth. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
