NWS issues wind advisories for much of the area

Wind advisories have been issued for our area.

The National Weather Service in Wichita (NWS-W) has issued a wind advisory in effect until noon Sunday that includes Lincoln County.

South winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

NWS-W also has issued a wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County
