Early on Thanksgiving Day last week, the Xpress Mart at 1118 N. 9th St. reported a burglary to the Salina Police Department at 3:22 a.m.

Surveillance footage showed a suspect wearing a gray hoodie with black pants, gloves and a dark face covering breaking into the business around 1 a.m.

"[The suspect] broke the front window, entered the business and then used bolt cutters to cut the latches on some gaming machines inside," SPD Sergeant Kyle Tonniges said. "The burglary occurred at about 1:19 a.m."

Tonniges said officers did not locate any suspects on the scene. SPD estimated that the front window damage totaled around $2,000, and the suspect stole more than $500 from the machines.

Salina Post will update the story as more information becomes available.
