Judith (Judy) Ann Adam, passed away peacefully at her home in Tipton, Kansas, on July 19, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 20, 1950, in Beloit, Kansas. She was the cherished wife of Edward (Ed) Adam, whom she was united in marriage with on July 5, 1969.

Judy earned her high school diploma from Lebanon High School in 1969 and embarked on a diverse career journey. She worked various jobs, including owning and bartending at The Town Pump and providing in-home daycare. However, it was her time at Farmway COOP that defined much of her professional life. Judy spent many years there, first at the service station and later transferring to the elevator, from where she retired in 2016. Her work ethic and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Judy was known for her easy-going personality, great sense of humor, and her willingness to lend a helping hand. Her love for family was evident in everything she did, particularly during the holidays, which she cherished as special times for gathering and creating lasting memories. Famous for her exceptional pie-baking skills, she delighted in sharing her creations with friends and loved ones.

Judy found joy in various hobbies and interests beyond her professional life. She took immense pleasure in watching her grandchildren participate in extracurricular and school activities, always cheering them on enthusiastically. Her leisure pursuits included cross-stitching, nurturing her garden, and the thrill of slot machines, which she enjoyed greatly.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Edward Adam, of Tipton; her daughters Stephanie Walker of Wichita, Tammy Adam of Graham, Washington, and Kala Phillips, along with her son-in-law Joe Phillips, of Tipton. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Kasey and Cole Buffo of Jetmore; Alexis and Brendan Julian of Phoenix, Arizona; Jadyn and Dalton Penka of Kenosha,Wisconsin; Danica Walker and Grayce Walker of Wichita; Kaden, Nolan, Garrett, and Annabelle Phillips of Tipton. Additionally, she is remembered by her  brother, Ronnie Bowman, of Salina; and several brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Maxine Bowman and her sister, Karen Bracy. In accordance with her wishes, a cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of Kansas or Solomon Valley Hospice, who provided support during Judy’s brave fight with cancer.

A Rosary Service will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton, Kansas, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
