LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawks were picked fourth in the 2024 Big 12 Preseason Poll, the Big 12 Conference announced on Tuesday.
Kansas’ preseason ranking is the highest since the Big 12 went to a non-divisional format in 2011. The 2024 season features four new Big 12 Conference members, including Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah.
Utah (906) was selected as the Big 12 Conference favorite, followed by Kansas State (889), Oklahoma State (829) and Kansas (772). The preseason poll and individual awards are chosen by media representatives who cover the league.

Kansas enters the 2024 season following back-to-back bowl appearances for the second time in program history and the first time since 2007-08. The Jayhawks finished the season at 9-4, the most wins by a Kansas team since 2007, and return a star-studded roster entering the 2024 season.
The Jayhawks will play all six home games in the Kansas City Metro area as work continues on the University of Kansas Gateway District.
