The Salina City Commission will convene for its special meeting on January 15 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 107 of the Salina City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street.
The first item on the agenda involves discussions in executive session with legal counsel regarding a proposed agreement between the City of Salina and the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce concerning the use of transient guest tax proceeds. The second matter centers on a proposed agreement with Kansas Wesleyan University for the use of Dean Evans Stadium and Bill Burke Park softball facilities.
The executive session will allow for privileged consultation with legal counsel under the Kansas Open Meeting Act. After the closed session, the commission will reconvene in open session, where further action may be taken.
