OTTAWA COUNTY - Beginning Wednesday, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin resurfacing K-106 in Ottawa County.

Project work will consist of a surface recycle on about 7 miles of K-106 from the east city limits of Minneapolis to the Ottawa County State Fishing Lake. (See map above).

During construction, flaggers and a pilot car will be used to guide one lane of traffic through construction at a reduced speed. Drivers should plan for delays of 15 minutes or less during daylight hours.

Dustrol Inc., of Towanda, is the prime contractor for this $946,547 project, which is scheduled to be completed by November 2025, conditions permitting.

KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 5-1-1.
