REPUBLIC COUNTY —One person died in an accident on Sunday in Republic County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Kia Sorento driven by Caley R. Wilson, 34, Concordia, was northbound on 260th Road just north of Union Road. The SUV entered the east ditch, struck a field entrance, became airborne, struck an REA post, landed in a field, and rolled onto its roof.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home Concordia. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP. Time of accident is unknown and pending investigation.
