WICHITA, Kan. - Alli Mickelsen of Kansas Wesleyan University has earned the KCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week honor, the conference office announced Monday. This week's KCAC Players of the Week were selected for their performances from April 13-19 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
Mickelsen was stellar for the Coyotes this week. Her highlights came against Ottawa, as she pitched a two-hit shutout against the Braves with seven strikeouts, then came on in relief in the second game and held Ottawa without a hit as the Coyotes tried to rally in the game.
The Coyotes wrap up KCAC play on Tuesday at Tabor, then host Hesston on Wednesday in the regular season finale at 1 p.m. at Salina South.
