SALINE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Saturday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Nissan Murano driven by Jeffry A. Rittel, 67, Salina, and a 2021 Jeep Compas driven by Jefferson L Parra Salazar, 38, Wichita, were stopped at the red light at Interstate 135 and Magnolia. The light turned green, both vehicle continued and the Nissan rear-ended the Jeep that for an unknown reason had stopped.
EMS transported a passenger in the Jeep Vanessa P. Natera Chavez, 39, Wichita, to Salina Regional Health Center. There were no other injuries reported. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
