Verbal argument turns physical, after man allegedly assaults woman.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on May 25 at around 2:40 am, a 31-year-old female reported being involved in a physical domestic incident with an acquaintance identified as Ryan Parks, (33) of Salina.
The female reported while they she was driving a vehicle with Parks in it, a verbal argument ensued. When they arrived at a residence, the argument then turned physical.
SPD stated the female was struck in the face and chest area by Parks.
She then attempted to call law enforcement, when Parks grabbed her phone and smashed it on the ground. He then left the area.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
Parks was later arrested when he returned to the residence at about 5:30 am.
He was booked into the Saline County Jail in reference to Robbery, Criminal Damage to Property, Intimidation of a Witness, and Domestic Battery.
Alcohol was a contributing factor, according to SPD.
