Advantage Trust staff updates: A hiring, promotion, election

Advantage Trust Company has announced staff updates that include the hiring of Corbin Munson as assistant trust officer, the promotion of Jamie Lovin to vice president and investment officer and the election of Julie Beswick to the board.

Munson joined the team as an assistant trust officer in November 2021. He is a Salina native who attended Kansas State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. In his free time, Munson enjoys working on computers and studying the stock and cryptocurrency markets. He recently worked in Kansas City as a GIS Analyst and Hydrologist, but is happy to be back in Salina.

“I’ve always loved the city of Salina and the people in it. It’s a great feeling to be back in town with such an awesome community of people,” said Munson.

President and CEO Brian Boyer described Munson as a great fit for the company’s culture.

Lovin joined Advantage Trust Company in 2017 and was recently promoted to vice president and investment officer. Boyer noted her desire to exceed clients’ expectations for personalized service as “contagious and second to none.”

“The relationships I have gained from working at Advantage Trust Company have been invaluable,” said Lovin. “It’s extremely rewarding to work towards a client’s financial success with a team of people who truly have their best interest at heart. I admire the wealth of knowledge my colleagues have, and I am honored to receive this promotion.”

Beswick is the executive vice president and chief administrative officer and has been with Advantage Trust Company since 2005. Boyer praised Beswick’s in-depth knowledge of the trust and wealth management services industry along with her abilities to lead and effectively communicate which he says will make her an outstanding director.

She was recently elected to the board and proud of the work they do, saying “I feel honored to be named as a board member of Advantage Trust Company. I look forward to working with the other board members whose support of our management decisions have successfully steered us down the path to become a leader in the trust and wealth management services industry.”
