Kenneth Ray Dickson, 69, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 at Ascension via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.  He was born January 4, 1952 in Minneapolis, Kansas, the son of Ollie and Helen (Philips) Dickson.

He grew up in the Minneapolis and Salina area and graduated from Salina High School with the class of 1970.  He has lived in the Galva/Moundridge area since the late 1980’s.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Diane Doan on July 1, 1991 in Moundridge, Kansas.  She survives of the home.

Kenneth was a machinist and worked maintenance at Plains Plastics and Chemstar of McPherson.  He was previously employed at Kansas Jack in McPherson and Agco Corporation in Hesston, retiring in 2017.

He enjoyed fishing and automobile racing.

Kenneth is also survived by his daughters, Karen Dickson of Moundridge and Mary Dickson of Galva; stepson, Robert Langfitt of McPherson; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; brothers, Ollie “Dick” (Linda) Dickson, Russell “Rusty” (Mary) Dickson, and Charlie (Jo) Dickson, all of Salina; and sister, Kay (Chris) Christiancy of Salina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two stepsons, Richard “Twink” Langfitt and Samuel “Squid” Langfitt; two nephews and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021, at United Methodist Church of Moundridge.  Burial will follow at Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.  Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 4, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Moundridge Funeral Home (to help defray funeral cost) or United Methodist Church of Moundridge in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, Kansas 67107.
