ABILENE - Memorial Health System employees set a record in November during their Jeans Day fundraiser to help a Solomon boy who is battling leukemia.

Employees who made a donation of at least $5 were allowed to wear blue jeans on Fridays in November. According to information from Memorial Health System, a total donation of $1,015 was presented to Hayden Ballou, who is currently fighting against his second round of leukemia.

To date, this is the largest donation made for Jeans Day by Memorial Health System employees. The Jeans Day was organized by the Memorial Health System Employer of Choice (EOC) committee.
