Vivian Humphrey, Cawker City

Vivian Lee (Lomax) Humphrey was born on May 17, 1943 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of John S. Lomax and Donna L. (Wideman) Lomax.
She died Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Mitchell County Hospital at the age of 79.
In July, 1964, she was united in marriage with Larry Humphrey. Three sons, Jeff, Greg, and Rick were born to this union.
Vivian worked over 40 years for Fred Jones Manufacturing in Oklahoma City. She loved her many small dogs she had over the years.
She was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Waconda Lake and found it to be a place she could go and relax.
Vivian was a quiet person and a good listener, and will be missed by so many who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jeff.
Left to mourn her passing are her sons Greg and wife Janell, and Rick; her sister Georgia Gwen Putman; brother Billie Hugh Lomax and wife Karen; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five nieces; three nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She has been cremated and she had wished to be buried next to her parents in Prairie Grove Cemetery north of Cawker City.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Prairie Grove Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022.
