Jean Marie Loader, residing at Presbyterian Manor in Salina, KS, passed away peacefully at age 87, on October 25, 2024. She was born in Grinnell, Kansas on October 24, 1937 to Nick and Lucy Nieman. Jean married Donald Loader in Salina, on August 30, 1969. She graduated from Marymount College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She was a volunteer and served for three years in Jamaica. Jean was a favorite grade school teacher for many years at Salina Catholic Schools. She also co-owned Don Loader interiors and worked at the Market Shop until she retired. She was avid bridge player, bowler, sports fan and book reader. Spending her spare time with family.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Jon Loader and Jim Loader (Michael Chambers); grandson, Stephen Loader; her brothers Kenny Nieman and Jerry Nieman, Lawrence Nieman; brother in law, Jerry Belt; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Nick and Lucy Nieman; infant son, Stephen Donald Loader; siblings, Alma, Erma, Al, Raymond, Paul, and Jim.
Visitation will be 5:30-7p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E Cloud Street. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to and sent to the church, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
