Mary Ellen Brown was welcomed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 24, 2022. Mary Ellen was born on August 30, 1932, in Seyfert, Pennsylvania, the only child of Nelson and Bessie Gross.

Mary Ellen attended school in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, where she met her husband of 73 years, Donald Brown. They were married on July 16, 1949.

Mary Ellen grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Florida for many years before returning to Pennsylvania to retire. In 2013, Mary Ellen and Don moved to Minneapolis, Kansas. She and Donald enjoyed living at Elk Horn and made many new friends.

She loved playing card games and was the best Hand and Foot card partner. She had a great sense of style and enjoyed going out to eat, shopping and going to the movies.

Her greatest joy was being with her family and spending time together. She was a devoted wife and mother to three children, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
