Most counties in our area under wind advisories Thursday

Wind advisories have been issued for counties in our area today.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

South winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a wind advisory in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday for the following counties in our area.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

South winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.
