Police are investigating the recent theft of aluminum and copper from a west-central Salina business.

According to a witness, a tall, thin, White male who appeared to be in his 50s and who had a long salt and pepper beard was seen at Walthers Oil, 204 S. Broadway, on four separate occasions, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. The person was driving a silver Honda Accord, he added.

Four large coolers at the business had aluminum and copper taken from them. Damage to each cooler was estimated at $2,500, Forrester said.
