A Salina woman was cited after multiple "VOTE YES!" signs were damaged on Sunday.
The signs encourage people to vote in favor of the proposed Kansas constitutional amendment concerning abortion.
Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said this morning that between 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, either the signs or sign stands at the following eight locations were damaged.
●1000 block of S. Ninth Street
●1800 block of Highland Avenue
●2000 block of Highland Avenue
●100 block of W. Wayne Avenue
●2000 block of Simmons Street
●500 block of W. Republic Avenue
●400 block of W. Republic Avenue
●2000 block of Starlight Drive
Witnesses reported seeing a white minivan in the area of some of the damaged signs.
Through the course of the investigation, police determined that Daphne M. Hass, 34, of Salina, allegedly was responsible for the damage to the signs.
Hanus said Hass was cited for a total of eight counts of damage to property.
