The Saline County Road and Bridge Department will close part of Watkins Road beginning Monday for drainage work.

Watkins Road between N. Link Road and N. Reese Road will be closed for the replacement of a cross-road drainage structure. Weather permitting, the road should be opened by mid-January of 2022.

Local traffic is asked to find alternate routes around the project area. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the side upon which the property lies.
