MITCHELL COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Friday in Mitchell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Freightliner truck driven by Cassidy M. Patton, 31, Simpson, was westbound on N Road at Lori Lane two and one half miles west of Simpson. The driver lost control while navigating a sharp right curve. The passenger side tires went off onto the east shoulder. The driver over corrected across the roadway and the truck rolled onto its roof in the west ditch.
EMS transported Patton to the Mitchell County Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. She was wearing properly restrained, according to the KHP.
