The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) has announced the speakers for the first Answers for Older Kansans (AOK) Sunflower Connections event.
The event, which highlights practical information and includes fun for seniors and caregivers is slated for Wednesday in the Marion Community Center, 203 N. Third Street in Marion.
Presenters for the event include the following.
●Paul Shipp, managing attorney at Kansas Legal Services and a veteran elder law attorney: “Managing Your Legal Problems When Your Money Runs Out.”
●Erin Yelland, interim director of the Kansas State University Center on Aging and a specialist in adult development: “Positive Aging! Positive Attitude!”
●Denise Vann, program specialist for the Alzheimer’s Association of Central and Western Kansas who educates communities on Alzheimer’s and Dementia: “Talking With Your Doctor: Being Your Best Health Care Advocate.”
●Dr. Tina Mahal, director of Prairie View’s Older Adult Services and an expert on services and programs for older adults: “Mental Health Tips and Overview of Older Adult Services at Prairie View”

Popular local musician Bob Delk and members of “Bob and the Boys” will be there to provide some great tunes during lunch!
