DuWayne L. Wiebe
April 8, 1940 ~ February 26, 2024

DuWayne’s life began on April 8, 1940, in Newton. He was the son of Alfred and Hedwig (Busenitz) Wiebe. DuWayne attended school through 8th grade at Burns and graduated from Berean Academy. He attended Grace College as well. He was united in marriage to Myrial Bartel on August 25, 1962, in Drake, Saskatchewan. The couple made their home in Burn where DuWayne farmed the family farm. He was a member of the Emmaus Church and enjoyed family especially his 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. His loving family includes his children Reg (Tiffany) Wiebe of El Dorado, Dawn (Chris) Blasdel of Wichita, Chad (Leanna) Wiebe of Kiev Ukraine, and Carol ( Bert) Warren of Des Moines, IA; siblings Evangeline ( Sam) Roth, Ted (Nancy) Wiebe, Delores Ames, Bernice ( Joel) Penner, Kerwin (Jan) Wiebe, and Maxine (Brad) Unruh; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  DuWayne went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday February 26, 2024, at Regent Park Rehabilitation in Wichita. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Myrial. His family will gather with friends on Sunday March 10, 2024, from 4- 6 p.m. at the Emmaus Church.  On Monday March 11, 2024, burial at 9 a.m. at Emmaus Cemetery followed by the funeral at 10 a.m. at Emmaus Church where his funeral will take place on Monday March 11, 2024, at 10 a.m.  Lamb Funeral Home is serving the family.  Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to SEND International in care of Chad and Leanna Wiebe.
