Two small quakes shake parts of SE Saline County Sunday morning

ASSARIA - Two more minor earthquakes struck southeastern Saline County.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 7:18 a.m. Sunday southeast of Assaria. The quake was centered just south of E. Lapsley Road and west of S. Cunningham Road.

Additionally, a 2.3 magnitude earthquake struck at 9:48 a.m. Sunday southwest of Gypsum. The quake was approximately a mile east of the first, just north of E. Lapsley Road, slightly west of S. Niles Road.
