Weather History for Saturday, November 7, 2020, from the National Weather Service in Wichita: In 1951, around 7 a.m., an extremely brilliant flash, a huge ball of fire, and a terrific roar occurred over parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. This was caused by a disintegrating meteor. Windows were broken in and near Hinton, Okla., located 50 miles west of Oklahoma City. In 1940, the famous Narrows Bridge in Tacoma, Wash., collapsed. Gale force winds around 40 mph caused the entire structure to vibrate, then twist which led to its destruction. Miraculously, there were no human fatalities, but tragically, a terrified dog was left in a car and died, despite an unsuccessful rescue attempt by his owner.&nbsp;&nbsp;
