Police are looking for two people who stole a U-Haul trailer from the parking lot of a northwest Salina car lot.
According to surveillance video, two persons in a pickup drove onto the L&S Auto Sales lot, 167 N. Broadway Boulevard, at 12:30 a.m. April 21. One of the persons got out of the pickup and attached the trailer to the pickup's hitch, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this afternoon. The six-foot by 12-foot trailer had a license plate of KS U0481.
Total loss was estimated at $6,000, Forrester noted.
